MASON CITY – A Cerro Gordo county employee died in work-related incident at the Lime Creek Nature Center area.
According to Mason City police, on March 16, 2023, at 9:40 AM, an employee with Cerro Gordo county reported that a fellow employee had been injured while working with machinery on Nature Center Road. Mason City fire and police department units responded to the roadway, that leads to the Lime Creek Nature Center. Responding officers found 44-year-old Cory Behr of Rockwell, Iowa, deceased from this work-related incident.
An investigation into the incident is on-going, police say.
