WATERLOO – One man is dead and another injured in a Waterloo shooting this week.
On May 29, 2022 at approximately 2:31 AM, Waterloo police officers responded to the 700 block of West 1st Street with multiple reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located two persons who had been shot. Waterloo Fire Rescue arrived and transported the two individuals with gunshots wounds to local hospitals. Anthony Jacobs, age 27, was transported to Allen Hospital, where he later died. Devonte Oneal, age 28, was transported to Mercy One, where he has since been discharged.
