Mason City police nab suspect in string of convenience store robberies

MASON CITY – Mason City police nabbed a suspect in a string of recent convenience store robberies.

Police say they arrested Houston Daniel Conway, age 23, late Wednesday afternoon in Mason City on an arrest warrant for a robbery at a Casey’s in Clear Lake on Sunday morning.

MCPD filed three counts of Robbery in the 2nd Degree, a class C felony, on Conway for the following robberies:

– January 6, 2022 – Yes Way, 1224 N Federal Ave
– January 23, 2022 – Casey’s, 813 N Federal Ave
– January 25, 2022 – Yes Way, 637 12th Street NE

Conway was also charged with Ongoing Criminal Conduct, a class B felony. Conway is in custody at the Cerro Gordo County Jail at this time awaiting his initial appearance.

The Mason City Police Department worked this investigation with the Clear Lake Police Department. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Mason City Police Department at 641-421-3636.

Poor Conway went the wrongway with yesway. She’ll find another flunkie to fuel her addiction to meth. While poor Houston pays the price. Justice?
