WAUKEE, IOWA – Frightened Waukee residents fled their homes after loud noises Monday night and police are clueless on the source of the disruption.

On Oct. 28 at 6:58 p.m., the Waukee Police Department was dispatched to the 500-700 block of Williams Court on a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to neighbors in the area. While on scene, officers reported what they also believed to be the sound of gun shots being fired. Officers were unable to pinpoint the exact location of where the shots were coming from. Some residents in the area were evacuated from their homes as a safety precaution. Additional officers from surrounding departments assisted.

Police found nothing in their investigation but are continuing to search for a clue.
