  1. Every year we are asked for more and more for less results. Get rid of the administrative in education and there will be more for the students.

  2. Open enrollment payments to other school districts
$133,00.00! of which $108,000 was to Clear Lake.
    WTF!
Why in the hell should we pay for someone else’s kid to to go to another school district on our money?
If you want your kid to go to another school, fine but you pick up the bill.

    1. This money amount has been given by the state and federal amounts for each student. Clear Lake and other schools districts are entitled to this money because they served the students needs. MCCSD is simply a funnel although this is not reflected on the expense sheets. Perhaps, if Mason City didn’t have such a huge bullying problem parents wouldn’t need to send their children to other schools. And, the other toss of the coin is the costs involved for aggressive students that are removed from the school district for severe infractions. Would you want to keep them in attendance? I should hope not.

      1. what difference does it make. Every employee at MCHS is going to see a very nice raise just like they do every year. That’s all that matters, make more, do less. Whats the difference?
