Child sex abuser brought back to Iowa from Mississippi

WEST UNION, IOWA – A man who sexually abused a young teen girl and was wanted here in Iowa has been located in the Southern Gulf Coast and brought back to Iowa to face justice.

Tony Terrell Stewart sexually abused a girl here in Iowa in Fayette county back in 2010. His victim was between the ages of 14 and 17. As a result, he was placed on the states’s sexual offender list for life and was to live under strict guidelines. However, Stewart, age 34 and formerly of West Union, Iowa, left the state for Lexington, Mississippi. A Nation-wide warrant out of Fayette County was issued for his arrest for violation of the state of Iowa sex-offender registry requirements.

Stewart – who allegedly goes by up to 11 aliases – was arrested by Mississippi state authorities on November 10, 2016. After waiving extradition, he was shipped back to Fayette county, Iowa. He is now currently being held in the Fayette County Jail on $10,000.00 bond.
