FOREST CITY – A Forest City man is facing new charges connected to the consumption of alcohol.
Forest City police arrested 25-year-old Ryan Sergei Marek after an incident on September 14 and charged him with third or subsequent offense public intoxication. He has entered a not-guilty plea and awaits a jury trial set for December 14.
Marek is also facing a legal entanglement after an earlier incident in Forest City. On June 26, 2016 at 1:00 AM, Marek was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, Interference With Official Acts and Criminal Mischief – 5th Degree. The arrest was a result of a report of a disturbance at a residence on Robb Road. In September, Marek pled guilty to first-offense consumption of alcohol in a public place. He was fined $100.00 and sent to jail for 10 days. A charge of assault was dismissed.
Marek wasn’t finished, though. On June 29,2016 at 10:20 PM, Marek was arrested and charged with second-degree harassment and second-offense public intoxication. The arrest was made following a report of harassment at a residence on Wilson Way. In September, the harassment charge was dismissed by a judge. Marek was also able to plea the public intoxication charge to a first-offense and was ordered to pay a fine.
Marks being held at this time in the Cerro Gordo county jail awaiting transport to Winnebago county.
