MASON CITY – A Belmond man who tried to steal a necklace from an adult novelty store in Mason City is guilty of theft.

Sunday morning, September 11 after midnight, a Cerro Gordo county deputy responded to a report of a theft at Pure Pleasure, 10480 265th Street in rural Mason City. The deputy arrived and after an investigation, arrested 38-year-old Bradley James Gansen of Belmond. Allegedly, Gansen tried to steal a necklace valued at $9.99.

Gansen was taken to the county jail, charged with fifth-degree theft and was released on bond. On September 21, judge Rolf Aronsen found Gansen guilty of fifth-degree theft. He was ordered to pay $330.00 in fines and court fees.
