MASON CITY – The Pita Pit restaurant is under new ownership and invites folks to stop in to try the new menu and specials.
Located at 616 South Monroe Avenue, the Pita Pit has new owners, Randy and Diana Cink, who took over on August 1st. They have rolled out an updated, fresh menu that suits everyone.
They offer daily specials all week, one of which is a free 22 oz. drink with the $5.99 combo meal. There’s a different variety of pita on sale each day: Monday is turkey; Tuesday is Turkey & Bacon; Wednesday is a Gyro (you can also order “double meat” on your order for 99 cents instead of regular price of $2); Thursday is the BLT; Friday is Turkey; Saturday is Ham and Sunday is Roast Beef.
Pita Pit also offers a “business fish bowl” where you can put your business card in the bowl for a weekly drawing of a free Pita Pit Platter for your workplace. They also offer a punch card to earn free food, and as always, delivery service is available and catering for events and functions.

I like Pita Pit. The food is comparable to subway and price is similar. It’s a nice change of pace if you want something a little different. Clean dining room too.
Our office won a free platter! It was such a nice surprise. Very nice looking and tasted great. They delivered and offered to set up for us.
I had an employee help me with the waiting issue. I now call it in and they have it ready for me to pick up for our office. We love the healthy choices. The staff now seems very knowledable and helpful. They give out great coupons in the store too.
Sometimes when I go to the pita pit, I have to wait to order, because there is a line of people waiting to order. If I don’t want to wait, I go somewhere else. I have always found the employees to be polite and helpful. I like the variety of the fresh vegetables, and the new menu is great.
I’m glad, last time I was in there the service was ridiculously slow and the staff was very rude and clueless. I really enjoy their food so I hope this has improved!
