CHARLES CITY – After a house raid, a Charles City man was arrested for 7 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
The Charles City police department executed a search warrant on May 27 at a residence in the 300 block of 10th Avenue. The officers were there for hours conducting the search and seized multiple items from both the house and garage.
Through the investigation, Jeffrey Kirk, 54, Charles City, was arrested at the scene. He was charged with 7 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. He is currently being held at the Floyd County Jail on $14,000 bond.
Court records did not yet show a court date connected to these charges for Kirk.

I would appreciate it if you would edit this article to state that it’s child pornography charges. It’s still a horrible crime, but many do not know the difference between molestation and exploitation.
