MASON CITY – A Minneapolis man was taken to jail early Saturday morning after law enforcement discovered he had a gun.
A Cerro Gordo deputy stopped vehicle for an equipment violation and for the registered owner of the vehicle not having a valid license. The stop was made near Highway 122 and Killdeer Avenue after midnight, April 30. After an investigation, the driver, Kelvin Edward O’neal, was found to be carrying a dangerous weapon, which turned out to be a handgun.
O’neal was arrested for carrying a dangerous weapon and no driver’s license. Other charges may be pending.
