MASON CITY – A Britt woman was arrested and accused of stealing from a Mason City retailer this week.
Mason City police were called to the Flooring Gallery, 3551 4th Street SW on February 26 around 11:36 AM on a report of a theft. A female was detained for shoplifting. Officers arrived and investigated. A suspect, 57-year-old Kristin Roxanne Jacobson of Britt was arrested on a theft charge.
Jacobson was taken to the county jail, booked and released pending a court date.

She also was found guilty of duct taping a dog’s muzzle shut and leaving it tied to a tree at the Humane Society on North Federal years ago.
