Travel with caution, U.S. government says

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The federal government warned citizens that a travel alert remains in affect.

As we approach the holidays, the U.S. Department of State reminds U.S. citizens of its Worldwide Travel Alert, issued on November 23, and the continuing need to exercise caution during the holiday season.

The State Department alerts U.S. citizens to possible risks of travel due to increased terrorist threats. Current information suggests that ISIL (aka Da’esh), al-Qa’ida, Boko Haram, and other terrorist groups continue to plan terrorist attacks in multiple regions. These attacks may employ a wide variety of tactics, using conventional and non-conventional weapons and targeting both official and private interests. This Travel Alert expires on February 24, 2016.

Authorities believe the likelihood of terror attacks will continue as members of ISIL/Da’esh return from Syria and Iraq. Additionally, there is a continuing threat from unaffiliated persons planning attacks inspired by major terrorist organizations but conducted on an individual basis. Extremists have targeted large sporting events, theatres, open markets, and aviation services. In the past year, there have been multiple attacks in France, Nigeria, Denmark, Turkey, and Mali. ISIL/Da’esh has claimed responsibility for the bombing of a Russian airliner in Egypt.

U.S. citizens should exercise vigilance when in public places or using transportation. Be aware of immediate surroundings and avoid large crowds or crowded places. Exercise particular caution during the holiday season and at holiday festivals or events. U.S. citizens should monitor media and local information sources and factor updated information into personal travel plans and activities.

Anything “deleted” (actually, the correct term is “reported”) has been moderated. The comments we liked were restored. The others were banished to a blazing inferno for all eternity.

Sammy, Sammy, Sammy-I am so disappointed in the way you talk. You know you are a charter member of the Dumb Azz Club and always will be. Here David and I were trying to further your lack of education and help you out and this is how you act. You should really be ashamed of yourself. I was hoping you would have grown up with our help but it just wasn’t meant to be. What a shame, I had such high hopes. Well back to the bottom of the Dumb Azz Liars Club for you.

Ya, isn’t it incredible that the US State Department never issued any travel alerts prior to January of 2009.

As to ISIS/ISIL/ Deash, your buddy GW Bush made them possible.
Dubya’s clusterf*%* handling of Iraq is the main reason that they even exist.

Oh I am sure that you will deny that & say “you liberals always blame Bush”

It is not blame, it is just fact. Deal with it.

Sammy, Sammy, Sammy-even you know Obama owns this. He has destroyed America in his seven plus years by pulling out of Iraq for political reasons before the job was done. Then of course we have the famous overthrow in Libia by Hitlary and Obama that destroyed that country. Then you have the infamous red line that he shot of his mouth about and then did nothing. All these thing created a vacume that ISIS jumped into. So, Obama and his squeeze Hitlary own this. Bush had nothing to do with all this crap. Now, you have a new year coming so why don’t you try something different and tell the truth.

LVS, you know nothing of truth, let alone any sort of facts.
Your inane thoughts are all pulled from your nether regions, you know, the same place that your head resides.
You wouldn’t know the truth if it came up & bit you in the ass.

A lot has gone wrong in the Middle East through the years, not least the rise of ISIS.
And the vast majority of what has gone wrong can be attributed to the Bush decision to invade Iraq, which ranks among the greatest foreign-policy fiascoes in the nation’s history.
The invasion unleashed profound sectarian strife when minority Sunnis, who had dominated the region for centuries, suddenly found themselves vulnerable to vindictive Shiite leaders installed by Bush and Cheney.
Obama has made some poor decisions, but none of that would even have been necessary were it not for the Bush debacle.

typical, obama has been in power for 7 years and all the problems the world has right now is bush’s fault. Some may have started out that way but obama hasn’t done anything to make them better, only worse.

Sammy…. well spoken but alas LVS will only rebut with name calling and noise he hears from Rush Limbaugh. He’s simply a parrot who sits on your shoulder, repeats what he hears and poops down your back.

Sammy, Sammy, Sammy-I am so disappointed in your response. It is obvious you wouldn’t know the truth if it bit you in the area where you keep your brains. I guess you just can not teach the stupid who together with their ignorant buddy’s are to stupid to come out of the rain. I had really hoped for better from you what with a new year coming and all. Happy New Year Sammy. Once a Sammy always a Sammy.

LVS you can’t even put together an original thought, you take what I said and and try to turn it around.
            What a dumbass you are.

And what is wrong with being out in the rain?
Well, I supposed for you being out in the rain would wash off all of the crap the emanates from you on a constant basis and you relish wallowing in crap.

I have never hoped for something better from you LVS, as you are a terminal idiot.
Your pathetic lies will continue until the day that you die.
You have be caught & proven to be a liar on here over and over and over again. Yet you continue.
Your imbecilic comments & severely limited acumen are proof that some stupid old coots will never see the light.

You truly are the poster-coot for internet idiocy.
You take the word “dumbass” down to a new level of moronic behavior.
