Two Iowans dead in winter motorcycle crash

logo-iowa-state-patrolWARREN COUNTY – Two Iowans out for a winter’s motorcycle ride have perished as a result of the driver losing control of the Harley-Davidson bike and the ensuing crash.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Two persons are dead after the 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle they were riding on Highway 28 near Norwalk in Warren county crashed. The names of the deceased were not released pending notification of family.

The state patrol said that the accident occurred on Saturday, February 21 after 5 PM. The motorcycle was southbound on Highway 28 and the driver had trouble maintaining control of the bike, lost control on a curve and collided with a cable barrier. The motorcycle and both riders came to rest on the roadway. Both persons were transported to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines but did not survive their injuries.
