NIACC wrestlers ranked sixth

niacc_trojans_logoMASON CITY – The NIACC wrestling team is ranked sixth in the NJCAA rankings released Thursday.

Clackamas CC is ranked first, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College is second, North Idaho is third, Ellsworth is fourth and Iowa Central is fifth.
In the individual rankings, NIACC’s Nosomy Pozo (25-6) is ranked first at 149 pounds and Yoanse Mejias (26-3) is ranked second at 157 pounds. Also, Paul Mascarenas (19-8) is seventh at 125 pounds, Shiquan Hall (24-7) is ninth at 133 pounds, Quincy Kalkbrenner (16-7) is 11th at 165 pounds and Lawrence Phillips (15-4) is sixth at 285 pounds.
