MASON CITY – A drunk driving accident and illegal drugs have landed a Mason City woman in jail.
An accident was reported on the evening of January 14 in Mason City at the 400 block of 9th Street NW. Officers were dispatched for a property damage collision at that location. A State of Iowa Accident Report was completed and after an investigation, the driver, 36-year-old Michele Peterson, was arrested on numerous charges. Those charges included operating while intoxicated, illegal drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to yield.
Peterson was released from jail the next day, as she awaits a January 23 court date.
How in the HELL can they release her the next day? Who wants to take bets that she will not show up for court and will be arrested for breaking the law again.
