DOW CITY – An elderly Iowa man is dead after his car went in a ditch and struck an embankment.
According to a report, a 2012 Jeep Wrangler driven by 77-year-old Dale Mather of Woodbine, Iowa was eastbound on Highway 30 in Down City when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle went off the roadway into a ditch and struck an embankment, causing it to roll. Mether, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the Crawford County hospital.
