MASON CITY – A Rudd woman showed up late for court to answer for a felony theft by check charge and was escorted to jail by Cerro Gordo deputies.

Jessica Lynne Tesdahl, age 23, who claims to live in Rudd, was supposed to show up for court on April 18, but failed to appear. A warrant was issued for her arrest, and Tesdahl was found in the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse on April 29. She was arrested and taken to jail by a deputy.

Tesdahl is charged with felony theft by check by Mason City police. She is a former Globe Gazette carrier and claims to have a job waiting for her in May at Valley Fair as a ride operator.
