IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa men’s basketball travel party will be returning to Iowa City this evening following news of tonight’s postponement. Below is a statement from Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery.
“We fully support Indiana’s decision to postpone tonight’s game as safety for the participants and fans is paramount. We will be in constant communication with Indiana and the Big Ten in finding another date. Upon hearing the news of the postponement, our players have handled the situation professionally, like I knew they would. Our guys have exhibited a business-like approach all season long on and off the court. We look forward to getting back on the court for our next game.”
Iowa is scheduled to host Wisconsin Saturday at 11 a.m. (CT) in Iowa City.
