MASON CITY – A wanted Mason City man tuned himself in nearly two weeks after a domestic assault incident that led to an arrest warrant.

According to Mason City police, on January 24th, 2014, at 2:25 pm, a domestic assault was reported in the 1300 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue. The female victim had non-serious injuries. The alleged aggressor, Jason T. Lawler, age 32, had already left before police arrived so police applied for an arrest warrant charging Lawler with serious domestic assault.

Lawler turned himself into the Cerro Gordo County Jail on the evening of February 10th.  He was later released, awaiting a February 28th court date.

Lawler is also awaiting a March 11, 2014 jury trial for third or subsequent offense public intoxication.
