IOWA CITY – Iowa will have to find a way to win on the road in a place where they have enjoyed little success, as they tangle with Illinois Saturday in Champagne.
Iowa had its 20-game home winning streak snapped this week, losing to Michigan State, just as it had cracked the top-ten national ranking for the first time in years.
Illinois (13-8, 2-6 in conference)holds a 61-14 edge in games played in Champagne, including 11 straight. Iowa (16-5, 5-3 in conference) hasn’t won there since 1999.
Iowa’s five losses have all come against ranked teams, by a total of 14 points.
