MASON  CITY – Police in Mason City have been alerted over the past few days to investigate what some are calling “aggressive” sales tactics by team of salesmen that have descended on the city.

The salesmen appear to be from out of town and are known to be transported in a van with Polk county license plates.  According to a source, the team are selling vacuum cleaners, and may be going door to door in pairs.  Some of the salesmen are said to be “pushy” and others describe the salesmen as outright “rude” and “aggressive.”

Thursday evening, NIT was alerted that the salesmen were back in the North End of Mason City, and have been scouring the 14th through 16th Street areas near Federal Avenue.  Police were questioning at least one man connected with the sales team Thursday.

Anyone with information should call the Mason City Police Department at 641-421-3636.

    1. A friend of mine was complaining about a high end vacuum cleaner salesman or team that wouldn’t leave her house yesterday. She said they were there for hours.

  1. These people are trained to never leave a house until they are thrown out or get the order. They do not care. Don’t let them into your home.
