IOWA CITY – Fresh off a tough loss in the horseshoe to highly-ranked Ohio State, Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz is preparing his ream to take the filed against another team that has had Iowa’s number in recent years: the Northwestern Wildcats.
“The one thing you can say about them (Northwestern) is since the mid ’90s they do what it takes to win. They’ve had a pretty good formula. They won 10 games last year. That doesn’t happen by accident,” coach Ferentz said.
Ferentz said at the press conference that his team is focused on playing a full 60 minutes, after having a lead at the half in every game this season but losing three of the seven.
“You have to prepare and you have to go play for 60 minutes. Teams that do that the best are the teams that are successful. That will be our goal.”
