Allegedly intoxicated bike rider taken to jail

MASON CITY – Cops caught a bike rider Tuesday who seemed to have a few too many and took her to jail.

According to police, an allegedly intoxicated woman was reported as “continually falling off of her bike as she attempted to ride it down the sidewalk” on the late afternoon of September 17th.

Police located the individual, Annette Denise Stevens, near Beaumont Drive and 1st Street SW in Mason City. She was arrested for aggravated public intoxication and taken to jail.

Report of an intoxicated female subject continually falling off of her bike as she attempted to ride it down the sidewalk. Subject was located and arrested for aggravated public intoxication.

Stevens was being held on $2,000.00 cash bond. She has a court date on September 27th.

  1. I wonder what the jail does when alcoholics start getting the DT’s from withdrawal or drug addicts start going through it. Do they get treatment or do they just suffer?
