2013-14 Iowa State Women’s Basketball Schedule Released

logo_iowa_state_cyclonesAMES, Iowa – The Iowa State women’s basketball team announced its schedule for the 2013-14 season today. The Cyclones’ season-opener is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 10 against North Dakota at Hilton Coliseum.

The Cyclones’ schedule features 13 games against teams that advanced to NCAA Tournament play last season. A total of six games will be played against teams that advanced to the Sweet 16. In all, Iowa State’s schedule features 17 games against teams that played in a postseason tournament.

Over the Thanksgiving break, Iowa State will travel to Las Vegas to participate in the South Point Shootout, from Nov. 29-30. In their first game in Las Vegas, Iowa State will face Eastern Washington and will close out the tournament against the Auburn Tigers.

Iowa State will host the annual Cyclone Challenge from Dec. 28-29, with their first game against Holy Cross. The Cyclones will face either Saint Louis or William and Mary in the final game of the seasonal tournament and the last game of the nonconference schedule.

The Cyclones open Big 12 play and 2014 with a two-game road swing beginning on Jan. 2, at TCU and at Oklahoma on Jan. 5. The Cyclones will make their way back to Hilton Coliseum with the conference home opener against Texas Tech on Jan.8.

Kicking off postseason action, the 2013 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship will be held March 7-10 at Chesapeake Energy Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Dates are still subject to change and a complete schedule featuring tip-off times and television will be announced at a later date.
