Adel, IOWA — On July 26, 2013 at approximately 1:00 PM the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office found inmate, 42 year old Leroy Mckinney, Jr., unresponsive in his jail cell. All attempts to revive Mr. Mckinney were unsuccessful.
Mckinney was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny were an autopsy is scheduled for Saturday July 27, 2013.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation with assistance from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation; however, no foul play is suspected at this time.
