KAZAN, Russia – Iowa State senior forward Melvin Ejim and his Canadian teammates beat Brazil 88-77 Sunday morning to advance to the semifinals of the World University Games. The Canadian team will face Russia Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. (CT).
Ejim tallied 12 points, his most of the tournament, and grabbed a pair of rebounds in 19 minutes. He was 3-for-6 from the field, including 2-for-2 from behind the arc.
Ejim is averaging 8.0 points per game in helping the Canadians to a 6-0 mark in the tournament.
