WASHINGTON, June 5 (UPI) — The woman President Obama indicated he would tap as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations once called ex-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “a monster.”

Samantha Power, who served on Obama’s first-term national security team, made the remarks during the 2008 primary battle between Obama and Clinton and apologized the same day her remarks were made public, The Hill reported.

Power’s comments were reported after Clinton beat Obama in Ohio’s Democratic primary.

“We f***** up in Ohio,” she said. “In Ohio, they are obsessed and Hillary is going to town on it, because she knows Ohio’s the only place they can win. She is a monster, too — that is off the record — she is stooping to anything.”

When apologizing for the remarks, Power resigned from Obama’s campaign team and said the comments “do not reflect my feelings about Sen. Clinton, whose leadership and public service I have long admired.”

Clinton and Power worked together during Obama’s first term after Clinton became Obama’s secretary of state.

Power is considered the front-runner to succeed Susan Rice as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, The Hill said. When she was part of Obama’s national security team, Power was a proponent of U.S. intervention in Libya.

  1. obwana and all of his appointees have all the class of an amoeba! Left to liberals a black lesbian would rule the country with a white peter puffer as an assistant. Ability, not a concern!

  2. The CZARS party gave probably a BILLION dollars the national media to get them elected by bad mouthing all the Tea Party candidates – having succeded they now are going after the media for exposing their parties fraud and lies – well what goes around comes around. I don’t see the chicago guys headlines much anymore ?

    1. @maybe-try logging back in and entering your password. If that doesn’t work contact Matt and have him re-register your log in name.

  3. None of you were willing to even understand what I was saying. WHEN China becomes the world military leader later in the century, wouldn’t it be better to be part of a team?

Oh, I get it, your false pride can’t allow you even see such a world. You better wake up and get with it, because it will be a reality one day.

    1. I see you are just as ignorant now as you were before, a one world order means no more constitution, no more united states, no more freedom to do what you want.

      1. We are not free at all. You’re lying. We incarcerate far more people than anyone, even Russia. Freedom in America is an illusion. Dozens of other countries have more and complete freedoms. Get over your ego.

        1. Ok I will almost give you that point, we are not as free as we used to be, these liberal communists have taken away a lot of our freedoms and they are planning on taking more away and if this one world order does happen we will have none of the freedoms we used to. Your argument of more people are locked up here than in Russia is totally stupid because that is not the type of freedom I am referring to.

        2. The Anonymous above was me, my name wasn’t there when I hit post and I didn’t realize it till it was too late.

        3. @maybe-that happens sometimes when they reset the web site and you need to log back in. I did a couple of comments and couldn’t find them until I saw them under Anonymous. I guess the system does that automatically if your not logged in.

        4. That really surprises me. I have always known you to be able to deep throat really well. Are you out of practice?

    2. I can see where YOU are coming from with your logic and you’re right…we’re NOT free anymore.

Here’s where I stand tho….I wouldn’t rather “join” the team and cower just to survive. I have too much pride. I’d rather fight and die for my soul than to lay down and be a dog to a master out of fear.

That’s just me though. I can understand how others would rather take the easy road and be an empty shell and be owned. Most people like easy, give up the fight sort of mentality.

I’ll take the way of the Spartan. EVEN if it means death.

      1. @My Voice-you are right. When I think back to when I was young in the 50’s and 60’s it was a whole different U.S.A. The liberals starting getting into power and our freedoms started going away.

      2. @Voice, didn’t you and I disagree on quite a few things in the past? I know my memory isn’t what it used to be but I think I remember getting in some heated debates with you and now it seems as if I agree with almost everything you have been saying lately.

        1. We may have maybe. Tell you the truth, I don’t remember.

I get pretty passionate when it comes to my civil liberties, my country, my family, and my core beliefs.

I appologize if I was too head strong. I preach strongly about not being a hypocrite but one of my biggest failures is REMEMBERING that everyone has a right to their opinion even if it’s horribly wrong. That’s obviously one of our civil liberties.

          Sigh….I’m not perfect. Lol.

I’m glad we seem to be on the same page now. And in the future if we don’t agree…let’s try to not get in any heated debates but just debate our point of view.

          Take care.

        2. I get REALLY bent out of shape when someone tries to take my gun rights away. I’m a responsible gun owner and CCW holder. I have trained in Martial Arts for the last 20 years. I am a fighter.

I DO NOT ever want to have to hurt anyone. I DO NOT think I’m tough. I DO NOT feel macho carrying a gun. Really the main reason I do is I was once had to save my daughter from getting attacked by a German Shepard. The short of the story…the dog lost. I’m no bad ass but I was that day. My daughter was 2 at the time and riding her bicycle on OUR side walk. That dog picked the wrong fight. I was prepared to die for her and I had NO fear.

NO ONE tells me when, where, how, or IF I can protect the ones I love. I don’t rely on a cell phone and a cop that will show up too late. The responsibility is MINE and it’s one I take VERY seriously.

I feel sorry for the children or families who’s parent is too afraid to take that responsibility.

I’LL never have to live with any regrets in that manner. I’ll never have to question my honor, my courage, or my soul. Even if I lose.

        3. It’s kills me to hear people like corporate fascists talk about false pride. Like bowing down and not fighting for your self and your rights is true pride?

There’s no pride in being a coward and giving up without a fight when everything you live for is on the line.

Actually, i really feel sorry for corporate fascists. I’m really sore he/she has no pride nor any courage.

        4. Years ago I was into the martial arts myself as well as an instructor in the military. I had to pull my weapon twice on the street to stop armed robberies and 2 more times while in own house when someone broke in. I don’t mind heated debates, it gets the blood flowing and I respect the person for at least having an open mind to the fact that maybe he isn’t correct and I also have the same open mind but when it comes to OUR liberties I have done enough research to know that I am correct. To those people that want to take away all OUR liberties it just amazes me that they are so willing to give up our liberties, as if they are speaking for me, so easily. I have seen a posting on facebook that says it all. Those people that are for giving up our rights to bear arms, when someone breaks into their house or they are robbed they call someone that carries a gun and then they pray that they get there in time.

        5. @ Maybe…I want to personally thank you for being in the military and fighting for our rights and liberties.

If it weren’t for people and like you…the people like corporate fascist would have already have spit on the flag to save their own ass and we’d be flying different colors.

I’m proud to be an American and everything that stands for. I won’t give it up with anything less than blood. I’m glad you served with the same convictions.

        6. My son and I were talking the other day and he was telling me what he has always wanted to do, I told him that all my life I only wanted 1 thing; to be a soldier. I was in the military for 12 years when I got hurt in Iraq and getting out because of it was the hardest thing I ever did because I loved it. I may not be in the military anymore but September 21st 1992 I took an oath and for me that oath has NO expiration date. I could be 90 years old and if someone tried to take away our freedoms I will fight.

        7. @maybe and my voice-I knew I liked you two guys for some reason and what you have posted today tells me just what it is. I believe in the same things you do. Now I know I am getting older and can’t move and fight as well as I once could but, I can still shoot straight and if I get close to someone I can defend myself pretty well. I want to thank you maybe for your service and want you to know that I will defend our country from these idiots as long as I can. It just turns my stomach to see and hear some of the crap going on today. I try to be reasonable and see the other side but it is so damn hard some times. Thanks to both of you for your loyalty to our country.

        8. maybe-this does not surprise me at all. I have always said they have a hidden agenda. Also, I was in Canada when the socialist pulled their trick up there. They said all they had to do was register their weapons and everything would be OK. A year later they used the list of law abiding people and went to their homes and confiscated their handguns. The people hid their guns in the walls and ceilings but are now criminals. I was in California when they did the same crap. I had a Colt 45 semi, my 357 Sig, My 357 Ruger, a SKS and a AK47 and my semi auto Remington Deer Hunting rifle. All but the Ruger would have gotten me thrown in jail there as they outlawed all bottom loading weapons. These people want to take over our country and can’t do it while we have weapons.

        9. @ Maybe…you sir, have gained my utmost respect. I’m humbled at the fact I was ever in a heated debate with you. I wish you could see me saluting you now.

LVS, you ever need someone to help you fire that thing straight…you let me know. I stand by my brothers in arms.

        10. Well Voice I figure we will all have to stick together because as they say when the fecal matter hits the occilating device we will have to save the lives of the liberals because agree with them or not, we are a community and we will need them when it really counts.

        11. Damm, I just wrote a long paragraph and lost it when the next page wouldn’t load. That’s been happening a lot lately on this site.

        12. You’re right, we do have to stick together and I would gladly saves the lives of Liberals. I just wish they lighter on the ego to see that what is happening today is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. It would be just as unacceptable if GWB was in office and this crap was going on.

We and I mean WE (the left and the right) need to take our country back before it’s too late.

        13. That really surprises me. I have always known you to be able to deep throat really well. Are you out of practice?

        14. @my voice-that is a true statement. We need to change our way of thinking and do it fast. I read a article today about what is happening in Europe today because of all the libraterd policy’s and it is downright scary.

    1. “Corporate Fascists” everyone should be upset about this pick. She does not represent the United States, she represents the George Soros of the world and wants a world government.

      1. Don’t you think a world government would be a good idea when China is #1 militarily? You arrogant bastard.

        1. Another thing, a one world government would mean the downfall of the US as we know it and it would also mean getting rid of our constitution. If that’s what you want then go somewhere else to live.

        2. NO a world government would not be cool you communist bastard.

Get out of America if you feel that way. People like you should be deported IMMEDIATELY.

We will keep our country and our Constitution. You can leave any time.

        3. @corporate-You ignorant P.O.S. China does not have the best military or the most powerful military in the world. The United States still has the best military in the world. The Chinese do have the largest if you just want to count numbers but that is all. I would put one of our fight men against 20 Chinese and our guy would walk away without a scratch. I would use someone like you for cannon fodder.

        4. Obama has divided this country along the party lines, those that are liberals are completely blind to what they are doing. They think that any democrat is sent from God himself when all they want is to destroy this beautiful country and bring it to third world status. We have a Manchurian candidate but instead of a person it is a party.

  4. Oh! great, while her hubby, science czar Cass Susstein heads back to Harvard, Obama appoints Powers to the UN post. She is openly hostile to Israel, previously worked for Soros think tank “The International Crisis Group” and was on the national security staff during the Libya ramp up.
And, this is the face of the United States at the UN??
More lack of leadership at the Whitehouse.

    1. @4ever49-the good thing is next week when we impeach Obama and Biden for being criminals we can get rid of her.

  5. Just what we need, an advisor on security that can also perform like a trained seal when reporting on Benghazi.
    This is leadership?

      1. @Nichole-That is typical liberal B.S. When you can’t defend the bunch of thugs and liars that you voted oin try to divert attention by bringing up the past. Even then it is only in your warped dsitorted veiw that this is true the real facts are it is all coming undone for Obama and his bunch of Chicago style buddy’s. The way it is going they will all be in jail before the end of his term. I’m surprised you didn’t throw in Bush. That is usually your style when you can no longer defend your god.
