Law enforcement searching for abducted Iowa teen

Webster County, IOWA — Law enforcement in Dayton, Iowa and Webster County, in coordination with the Iowa Department of Public Safety, is requesting the public’s help in finding a 15 year old girl.

If you have any information related to the disappearance of 15 year old Kathlynn Shepard, please contact law enforcement immediately. In particular, residents in and around the area where Boone, Webster and Hamilton counties meet, are asked to keep an eye out for the missing girl.

Kathlynn is 5’6″ and 160 pounds. She has blond hair and blue eyes.

Kathlynn Shepard was reported missing late this afternoon, when another juvenile indicated the pair had been abducted after accepting a ride from a stranger. Law enforcement believe they have located the alleged abductor, however Kathlynn remains missing.

Additional information will be provided as the search for Kathlynn and the criminal investigation proceed.
