ISLAMABAD, March 22 (UPI) — Four militants were killed when a U.S. drone targeted a vehicle in the northern tribal region of Waziristan, Pakistan, officials said Friday.
The attack occurred Thursday night near the town of Datta Khel about 22 miles west of Miranshah, Khaama Press reported.
The bodies of the men were burned beyond recognition, preventing their identification, Pakistani security officials said.
The region is a considered a haven for the Taliban and al-Qaida.
Two people believed to be militants were killed by drone strikes in the same area March 10.
