Iowa Central women top NIACC, 78-58

niacc_trojans_logoMASON CITY – The Iowa Central women’s basketball team topped NIACC 78-58 Saturday afternoon in the NIACC gym.

Theresa Doyle led Iowa Central (17-6 overall, 8-3 in the ICCAC) with 26 points.

Iowa Central led 33-27 at the half.

NIACC (13-12, 6-5) was led by freshman guard Lateeka Thompson with 17 points. Freshman guard Kadejah Young scored 16 points and freshman guard Chelsey Jacox scored 4 points.

Thompson led the Lady Trojans with a career-high 13 rebounds.

NIACC returns to action Wednesday at Iowa Lakes.

In other ICCAC action Saturday, Kirkwood topped Marshalltown 87-38 and DMACC stopped Southeastern 64-36.
