MASON CITY – A former Mason city woman has plead guilty to a theft charge after fleeing security guards at Kohl’s department store in Mason City with three bottles of perfume on December 18th.
Olga Gutierrez, 40, showing a Stacyville, Iowa address but formerly of Mason City, was located and arrested by Mason City police after the incident. She plead guilty on January 22nd and reported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail on February 8th. Records did not show the exact sentence she received, but jailers said she will be serving 7 days. Gutierrez was originally charged with enhanced third degree theft.
Gutierrez is still awaiting adjudication on a charge of enhanced third degree theft after a September 29th, 2012 incident where Mason City police issued a citation. According to a report, security at Hy-Vee Drug Store attempted to detain Gutierrez but she fled the scene after being suspected of shoplifting. Her court date has been postponed a number of times in this case. She is now facing a jury trial on April 12th after pleading not guilty.

We got to let them that gets stole from deal with these theifs in their own way.
I’d hit it.
Take her to the interstate and drop her off. Let her hitch hike to another area to steal from. We don’t need her kind. They wear too much stinky perfume anyway you can smell them 25 ft. away. peeeeeweeee!.
Did she do it for the thrill of doing it? It’s not like a person needs perfume, maybe deodorant though. She was probably going to sell it herself, you know, make a little money.
Christmas gifts.
Why Katie does she have ten kids?
