NIACC men host Iowa Lakes Saturday

niacc_trojans_logoMASON CITY – The NIACC men’s basketball team returns to action Saturday in a home ICCAC contest against Iowa Lakes.

Game time is set for 3 p.m. in the NIACC gym.

NIACC (11-5 overall, 0-2 in the ICCAC) dropped a 98-72 decision to Iowa Central at Fort Dodge on Wednesday. Freshman guard David Humphries (Adelaide, Australia) led the Trojans with 27 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Sophomore guard Chris Davis (Colorado Springs, Col.) averages 20.4 points per game (1st in ICCAC) to lead the Trojans. Humphries averages 18.8 points (2nd in ICCAC), 8.3 rebounds (2nd in ICCAC) and has 71 assists (2nd in ICCAC) and 44 steals (3rd in ICCAC).

Also for the Trojans, sophomore guard Josiah Lee (Peyton, Col.) leads NJCAA Division II players with 67 steals.

No. 15 Iowa Lakes (9-4, 3-1) topped ABCD Prep 82-64 on Wednesday.

Kelly Madison averages 16.7 points per game to lead the Lakers.
