A CNN poll now claims that a “slim majority” of Americans now support “major gun restrictions.”
The poll was conducted in the days following the tragic killing of 26 persons in Newtown, Connecticut last week.
According to the CNN poll, “a bare majority now favor major restrictions on owning guns or an outright ban on gun ownership by ordinary citizens and more than six in ten favor a ban on semi-automatic assault rifles.”

The people who want a gun ban in America – King george – the communist party -the New World Order combined with the United Nations troops – sorry fkers were not changing our constitution for your socialist agenda.
Are we also going to ban cars because drunk drivers kill more people than guns. Ban “Assult” weapons if it makes you more comfortable but it won’t solve the problem. The problem is with our society and culture and as long as we have mentaly ill people running around and vidio games full of carnage as well as movies we will have a problem. It wouldn’t hurt if parents went back to parenting instead of being kids buddy’s either. What is going on now is just a witch hunt and no decisions should be made until things cool down some.

The constitution is the law not a public opinion poll. We need more nut control not gun control.
lets disarm everyone. let the cops carry night sticks like the english bobbies did, or maybe still do? after all when everyone in america turns in their guns we all will be safe. now if we could just figure out what to do with drunk drivers, oh yea, lets just get rid of all the cars.damn thermometer, i blame it for being so cold.
In an ideal world, there would be no need for guns, but that is not realistic.
My opinion is what I think is common sense. It is time to ban semi-automatic and automatic weapons and the high-capacity clips that they use. I cannot see one good reason for anyone private citizen to own one of these. Hunting– I don’t think so!! So, what else ?? Target shooting?? well you will obliterate the target immediately. So- not!!! As far as rights go– the 2nd amendment does protect the right to bear arms– but when it was written they were using muskets— one shot and 10 minutes to load up the next shot… You just cannot equate one with another. All law enforcement should be armed at least as much as the criminals– but that isn’t even happening in so many cases.. Allowing the confirmed mentally ill to possess such weapons is insane. Or if you have a family member that has mental health issues– at least lock them up and throw away the key. Adam Lanza took 4 of his mothers guns with him to carry out this atrocity!!! I am not blaming her- but the reports state that she took him target shooting with these weapons– so he was taught how to use them effectively– too bad hindsight is always 20/20!!!

Exactly!!! I shoot semi autos/assault rifles as a HOBBY. I don’t play golf so maybe we need to band golf clubs?? They never had internet-tv-radio when they wrote freedom of the PRESS…. so the “they didn’t have them when the 2nd amendment was written” crap doesn’t fly. Terrible what happened in a “gun free zone” Sickening actually… The only thing more dangerous than Lawmakers is the media.. They outright lie about everything and shift opinions.. People believe everything they see on the evening news.. I guess its easier that way and doesn’t take much energy.. So in conclusion my hobby is firearms…DONT TREAD ON ME!!
