By Tony Perry, Los Angeles Times –

Two bandits walked into the Victoria’s Secret store in a downtown shopping center crowded with Christmas shoppers this week and stole about 300 pairs of panties, the San Diego Police Department said Friday.

The two men, described as Latinos who are 18 to 25 years old and between 5 foot 6 and 5 foot 9 in height with thin to medium builds, walked into the store about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

One grabbed about 300 pairs of panties and put them into a shopping bag and left, followed by the other man, police said. Store employees were unaware of the theft until they noticed that about half the panties on the display were missing.

According to the Victoria’s Secret website, the price of panties, depending on the style, ranges from three pair for $33 to 4 pair for $28.
