MASON CITY – Tyler Meuer, 22, of Mason City has been arrested for intimidation with a dangerous weapon after an incident on Mason City’s north end Friday evening.

Meuer was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail Friday night at 7:53 PM and charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon (Iowa code 708.6) a class C felony.

Meuer is no stranger to this charge, as Mason City police initiated the same action against him after a June 5th, 2011 incident at Big Blue in Mason City.  Meuer was involved in an altercation at Big Blue and brandished a handgun and was arrested.  Mason City police charged him for carrying weapons, failure to have a concealed weapons permit, disorderly conduct-fighting or violent behavior and unlawful assembly.

Meuer received a suspended fine and probation from Judge Carlynn Grupp, and other charges were dismissed.

  1. I can’t imagine how the police officers must feel after they pick up these slime and the judges let them go! VOTE “NO” ON ALL JUDGES NOV. 6TH — that’s a start.

  2. How did he get his hands on another gun after the first arrest? I can’t believe that he has a carry permit or is even allowed to own a gun.

  3. What’s with this Judge seems to me I read allot she gives out suspensions ? If they are given one chance and blow it then don’t give another.

  4. This is the same guy that got beat up at big blue when he pulled that gun. He also was trying to get his dog to bite a teenage kid that day. This guy is a tool and should be put in prison where the only thing he will have to worry about is how bad he gets it from his celly considering he wont have a gun there to protect him.
