MASON CITY -A Mason City woman who was arrested on third degree theft charges in September failed to appear for her arraignment and now is in jail.

Almyra Elizabeth Sharp, 37, was arrested after a shoplifting incident at Kum & Go gas station, 1303 4th Street SW, on September 10th around 8 AM.

Sharp was arrested and booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail that day on a charge of third degree (enhanced, habitual offender), an aggravated misdemeanor.

Sharp was set for an arraignment on Monday morning but did not appear in court.  Judge Colleen Weiland issued a warrant for her arrest.  Sharp was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail at 6:32 PM on Monday.  She is being held on $2,000 cash only bond.

In addition, Sharp was set to be arraigned on lottery fraud charges on October 30th, 2012, after a citation from the Mason City Police Department on July 30th, 2012 that also involves charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.  That trail has been delayed to December 11th, 2012.
