MASON CITY – A Clear Lake man was hurt and is now under investigation by police after crashing his Harley-Davidson motorcycle Saturday.

The Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s office says that on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at about 5 PM, 37-year-old Johnathan James Goerish from Clear Lake was driving a blue 2006 Harley Davidson FLHXI motorcycle in front of 12434 Spruce Ave when he lost control and hit a parked 2004 Black Jeep Grand Cherokee. He was transported to Mercy NI with injuries to his head and leg.

He did have a passenger that was uninjured.

The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending. Goerish’s condition is unknown at this time, police say.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Mason City fire Medics and Rockwell – Swaledale EMTs.

Court files indicate Goerish is facing sexual abuse and burglary charges at this time in Cerro Gordo county, brought by Clear Lake police. He is currently awaiting a Nov. 1 arraignment on these charges and was released from jail on bond by a judge in September. Goerish was guilty of drunk driving last summer.
