Minnesota Vikings rookie cornerback Josh Robinson is making up for lost time by impressing his coaches in limited work.
Robinson, who missed part of training camp with a hamstring injury, has consistently broken up passes in practices and carried the momentum into last week’s preseason game against Buffalo. He recorded a near-pick and was in on an aggressive open-field hit, to the relief of the head coach.
“It was good to see a guy playing corner for us to attack the way he did,” Leslie Frazier said Monday, Aug. 20.
The third-round draft pick out of Central Florida is running mostly with the second-team defense, but sustaining this level of play could help him land a more prominent role.
“He has a ton of talent,” defensive coordinator Alan Williams said.
