MASON CITY, IOWA — Main Street Mason City, a non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment and preservation of downtown Mason City, plans to host an installment of its annual “Friday Night Live” summer concert series on Friday, July 20, 2012.
This event, to be held on North Federal Avenue, across from Central Park in downtown Mason City, will include live music provided by Roger Foat, and Fun Factory (formerly known as The Underachievers). The event will also include multiple food vendors, a beverage tent and many kids’ activities provided by the North Iowa Youth Center.
With a sponsorship from CoffeeCat of Mason City, Roger Foat will kick off the evening at 5 p.m. with a selection of Folk and Instrumental music. Following will be the Vegas-style show band called Fun Factory, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with a wide variety of ‘70s, ‘80s and current party hits.

While I am still not a huge fan of all the money spent downtown, I am very pleased to see people utilizing the downtown area for recreation. Keep up the good work and do more if possible.
