Stolen credit card numbers may have been used at Mason City business

MASON CITY - The Mason City Police Department, with the assistance of the United States Secret Service, served a search warrant at L&D Nails at 640 S. Monroe Ave. in Mason City.

MASON CITY – The Mason City Police Department, with the assistance of the United States Secret Service, served a search warrant at L&D Nails at 640 S. Monroe Ave. in Mason City.

Investigators obtained a search warrant to seize equipment and records believed to be related to the theft and fraudulent use of customer’s credit card information. No arrests have been made at this point. The investigation is on-going. Customers are encouraged to review their credit card or debit card statements and report any unusual charges to their bank and the Mason City Police Department.

Anyone with additional information regarding this case is also asked to contact the Mason City Police Department.

As of 3pm Friday afternoon, L&D Nails appeared to be open for business.
