North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) Community Education and the Osage Chamber of Commerce are planning a unique day on Saturday, June 9. Destination Osage will provide participants with an opportunity to shop in Osage’s specialty shops while getting hands-on learning opportunities about a variety of topics.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., participants can learn about and enjoy home-made card making tips, pottery painting and fused glass, a style show, skin care advice, coffee tasting, wine tasting, beer tasting, a mini sewing project, a self-defense mini class and more.
Besides these scheduled events, the Cedar River Complex will be open for tours at your request along with the Mitchell County Historical Museum.
Register early by calling NIACC, 641-422-4358. The cost is $12. All registered participants will meet at the Osage Chamber of Commerce, 808 Main St., where they will receive event materials and a schedule of events. Participants will also receive a lanyard to signify their participation in the scheduled events.
