A Mason City man has been arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred at Affordables, located at 315 North Delaware Ave, Monday afternoon.
Gary Anderson, age 54, was spotted Monday in the 200 block of 4th Street NE and was taken into custody without incident. Anderson was transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail for holding on a charge of 2nd degree robbery, a class C felony with a $10,000 bond.
Police were called to Affordables at 2:35 P.M. Monday for a robbery. According to police, a male subject who was waiting in the check-out line reached into the cash register while an employee was making change for another customer. The man grabbed an undetermined amount of cash. An employee attempted to stop the man but he physically resisted and fled the store on foot.
