Mason City Public Library invites you to join us in the Mason City Room on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 7pm as Duffy Hudson “rises from the grave” as Edgar Allan Poe to relate his life story and regale us with excerpts from his masterpieces such as “Annabel Lee”, “The Raven” and “The Tell-tale Heart.”
Duffy Hudson is an actor, director, writer, teacher and filmmaker from New York City. He has appeared on and off Broadway and has directed over 300 theatrical pieces. He is the author of his two one-man shows, In the Shadow of the Raven, (the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe) and The Relativity of Albert Einstein, (The life and work of Albert Einstein) as well as the children’s book, The Boy Who Came from Heaven.
The free performance will last for approximately 50 minutes with a question and answer period at the end. This is a great opportunity for students and families to get to know Poe “personally”. For more information call 421-3668, email librarian@mcpl.org or stop into the library.
