Marsters: “Mason City Citizens, I have chosen NOT to seek re-election for a third term of office for City Council.”|Mason City Council member Jeff Marsters sent the following letter to NorthIowaToday.com:

Mason City Citizens,

I have chosen NOT to seek re-election for a third term of office for City Council.

A lot of change has taken place in my personal life over the past several months.

It is now important for me to take time off to travel and spend more quality time to visit distant family members and friends with the freedom of not being tied to the constant demands and duties required serving on the City Council.

Sincerely,
Jeffrey Marsters

Comments on Councilman
Jeff Marsters not seeking another term on the City Council

“Regrettably, I was disappointed to hear that Councilman Jeff Marsters will not be seeking his 3rd term on the Mason City/City Council.

Councilman Marsters has made a positive contribution to this community in his decision making in the past years he has served on the Council.

He has listened and been responsive to the citizens, he made decisions he sincerely felt was in the best interest of all citizens of Mason City.

As a close friend of Jeff, I have personally witnessed his past dedication of serving, not only Ward 1 constituents but all citizens of Mason City.

It has been my sincere pleasure to have served with Jeff for the past years on the City Council.

I am confident Jeff will in his remaining months on the City Council; continue his dedicated service to the citizens of Mason City.”|
