The City Volunteer Program is coordinating a large photography project in which volunteers are taking photos of the exterior of various landmarks throughout the community, including ñ but not limed to – bridges, churches, recreation facilities, and businesses.
The photos will be included in the City’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping software. The volunteers will be taking one or two photos of the exterior of the buildings included in the list of 1,000 landmarks targeted for this project.
“Once this project is completed, it will assist the City organization in emergency management situations, and we are grateful to the volunteers for contributing to this project,” stated Jessy Willadsen, the City’s GIS Analyst.
