Beginning Monday July 18, 2011 at 7:00 a.m. (weather permitting), the Mason City Utility Division will begin Water Main repairs at Highway 122 East and South Louisiana Avenue.
US Highway 122 will be reduced to one lane traffic Eastbound and one lane traffic Westbound between South Ohio Avenue and South Illinois Avenue. Maple Drive, South Louisiana Avenue and South Indiana Avenue will be closed at Highway 122. Use South Illinois Avenue or South Kentucky Avenue to get access to these streets.
The projected time for repairs is expected to be approximately 4 to 5 days.
Expect congestion and delays around this area while the street is under construction. Please watch for construction workers and equipment if you are traveling near the work zone.
