General notes from city staff:
Please continue to observe the yellow construction tape….the white curing compound looks like dry pavement, but it isn’t!!
Alliant Energy will finish up their work in Enterprise Alley mid-week after which McKiness will return to prepare the street for paving.
All work start dates remain ‘weather permitting’ … and we’re getting our share of rainfall.
Week beginning Monday, June 27
Work will continue to core out the bump out areas at the intersections to prepare them for paving.
Preparation of the Federal Avenue intersection at 3rd Street for paving should begin. This intersection will remain closed.
If Alliant Energy has completed their work in Enterprise Alley, work may begin to install storm intakes.
Paving of State Street will be completed including the parking areas. All Plaza concrete work should be finished. Parking areas along each side of the main line street paving from 4th Street to 2nd Street along Federal will follow completion of State Street. Sidewalks between 2nd and 4th Street along Federal will follow the completed street paving, but will likely not get started this coming week
Installation of pavers should be complete in the Plaza.
Additional light poles have been set and work continues to pull wires for the lights.
Stay alert and stay safe in the work zone. Please avoid wet concrete areas. Watch for tripping hazards and construction equipment.
