Lime Creek trails are now open

Effective immediately, all designated trails at Lime Creek Conservation Area are open to foot, horse, and bicycle traffic. Although, if weather conditions become rainy making trail conditions poor and muddy, trails will be closed to horse and bicycle traffic until conditions improve. All Lime Creek Conservation Area equestrian and dog handlers are reminded to cleanup animal waste deposited in the parking lot area and throughout the trail system. All animal waste shall be cleaned up and hauled away by the animal handler. Continued animal waste complaints may result in the Conservation Board imposing user restrictions. All pets shall not be allowed to run at large, they must be confined to a leash not exceeding 6 feet in length. All LCCA users are also reminded not to block access gates and trail heads, all users should park in designated parking areas. For more information or Recreational Experience Close to Home brochures outlining the LCCA trail system, contact the Cerro Gordo County Conservation office at (641) 423-5309, visit the web site at www.co.cerro-gordo.ia.us, or stopping at the Lime Creek Nature Center M-F 7:30am to 4:00pm. |
