KOSSUTH COUNTY – A Northern Iowa house raid led to the arrest of three suspects as cops grabbed guns, cash, and illicit drugs.
On March 10, 2023, the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 401 Richland Street in Ledyard. An ongoing investigation led to information of illegal activity within this residence. Deputies seized numerous items known to be associated with illegal drug use, such as cash, methamphetamine, marijuana, and guns.
Arrested and transported to the Kossuth County Jail were:
Jeffrey Lynn Miller, Sr (age 60) and Jeffrey James Miller (age 35), both charged with:
– Possession w/ Intent to deliver Methamphetamine (Class B Felony)
– Gathering where drugs are used other than marijuana (Class D Felony)
– Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp over 7 grams of meth (Class D Felony)
– Possession of marijuana 15t Offense (Serious Misd.)
– Possession of drug paraphernalia (Simple Misd.)
Also arrested and transported to the Kossuth County Jail was Sherri Lynn Gillis (age 53) charged with:
– Gathering where drugs are used other than marijuana (Class D Felony)
– Possession of controlled substance 3’`r or subsequent, meth (Class D Felony)
– Possession of controlled substance 2nd or subsequent, marijuana(Serious Misd.)
– Possession of drug paraphernalia (Simple Misd.)
All three subjects are residents at 401 Richland Street.
The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office with part of this investigation. Further charges are pending as the investigation remains active.
